Mailbox, Gate & Cabinet Locks in Dallas-Fort Worth
Lost a mailbox key, have a gate that won’t latch, or need a cabinet lock replaced? Send a photo of the hardware and tell us who owns or manages it. We’ll identify the parts and confirm what work can be authorized.
Private Mailbox Locks
We can assess private mailbox cylinders. For shared boxes, we first confirm who owns and can authorize the work.
Gate Latches and Cylinders
We check the hinges and strike along with the lock so a sagging gate isn't mistaken for a bad cylinder.
Cabinet and Storage Locks
Many cabinet and storage locks can be rekeyed or replaced without changing the whole door or unit.
Finding Replacement Parts
A photo of the lock and any working key helps us identify a compatible fix before cutting or drilling.

Mailbox, Gate and Cabinet Lock Work
Identify the lock before ordering parts
A mailbox cam lock, gate latch, and cabinet cylinder are different jobs even if the locks look small. A photo of both sides and any working key helps us identify the parts.
Tell us who owns or manages the opening. That matters with shared mailboxes and rented storage.
Private and shared mailboxes
A lost key or worn cylinder on a private mailbox can often be handled by changing the lock rather than replacing the box.
For cluster or property-managed boxes, USPS or a manager may need to approve or handle the lock. We confirm who’s responsible before doing the work.
Gates that won’t latch
If the key turns but the gate closes only when you lift it, check the hinges and strike. Weather and movement can throw them out of line.
Depending on the hardware, a latch adjustment, cylinder repair, or outdoor-suitable replacement may be the answer.
Cabinets, storage, and utility doors
A missing key doesn’t always mean replacing the whole door or drawer. On a compatible lock, we may be able to rekey it or fit a new cylinder.
If you want to add a lock where there isn’t one, that’s a fresh install. We can discuss a cam lock after checking the panel thickness and clearance.

Questions About Mailbox and Gate Locks
Can a gate lock be repaired if it is exposed to weather?
Often. Weather can damage the lock, but a gate that moves out of line can cause the same symptoms. We'll check the latch, hinges, and hardware before deciding on repair or replacement.
Do you work on cabinet and storage locks?
Yes. We can look at lost keys, worn cylinders, and sticking locks on many cabinets and storage spaces. A photo of the front and back helps us identify the hardware.
Why does my gate lock work only when I move the gate?
The gate may have shifted so the latch no longer lines up with its catch. We check the hinges, latch, and lock together to find the cause and recommend a lasting repair.
Can you replace a mailbox lock?
We can replace many private mailbox locks. For cluster or shared boxes, USPS or your property manager may be responsible. Tell us what kind of mailbox it is before we schedule work.
Do you make keys for gate locks and specialty locks?
Sometimes. With a working key we may be able to copy it; for a lost key, the lock may need to be rekeyed or its cylinder changed. Not every specialty key can be duplicated.
